Lothiriel Kelwyn is the heir to the Kelwyn family line, and the most powerful being to exist besides the Enemy himself. She is one half of the Firebird along with her twin brother, and represents both Death and Good. She is from Taliesin, but is half-Cadmanian as well. The hero of both the War of the Enemy and the War of the Firebird, she is unmatched in skill and tactical brilliance by any other being.

Personal history
One of two children born to Fianna Kelwyn and King Sloane of Cadman, she was separated from her twin brother at birth for their protection and raised by her mother in the city of Zavinia. At a young age, she befriended Princess Andrea of Taliesin, and was trained to be her First Lieutenant. Queen Maeveen had her sent into warrior training at the age of two, and she first killed at four. By age twelve, she was a full warrior, and had led two maives into battle at Shadow Point. She was sent on a mission to Mangalan at fourteen, and would serve Cadman as an assassin for two years. At sixteen, she took command of the Copper Maive, and became High Commander later that year. At 116, she was reunited with her brother.
