Taliesinian Warrior
The army of Taliesin is made up of elite fighters referred to as the warriors. Trained since their childhood, they are the best of the best and unmatched in skill and power by any other fighting force. With magic, technology, and incredible skill at their fingertips, they are feared throughout the worlds as the most formidable fighting force to ever exist.
Career
Qualifications
At least five years of warrior training. Has passed basic tactical tests. Skill with at least two different weapons. A Mark of some kind is preferred.
Career Progression
At least five years are spent in the training stages. After they are made a full warrior, they spend four to five years being considered a junior warrior. After this point they are simply considered warriors. Only the most experienced fighters are given the title of senior warrior, usually after around 4000 years as a warrior.
Payment & Reimbursement
The pay is good, varying depending on the rank they hold. The barracks in any city or town are required to house any warrior, and they are entitled to housing within the Zavinian palace. They can also receive special rewards for heroics if the Council sees fit.
Other Benefits
High-ranking warriors can earn a seat on the Council if they have a certain amount of experience or earn a particular title. Some high-ranking warriors also earn a considerable amount of fame. Those considered to be war heroes can often pass into near-mythological status after their death.

Social Status
Anyone can become a warrior, but noble children are required to undergo the training. Most high-ranking warriors are nobles, though there are some exceptions. To have a family member as a warrior is to up your social status considerably, and it is quite a sought-after career.
Demographics
20% of Taliesin is considered to be a full warrior. 65% has completed some form of warrior training. 78% has at least basic tactical and fight training.
History
Begun almost as soon as the Founding Wars ended, the warriors and their purpose changed very little over the years. Different weapons and fighting styles were introduced over the years, but the basic mission was always the same. Later on, after the Dark Years, tactical training was given an increased emphasis, but otherwise few details changed over time.

Tools
Uniform. Primary weapon. Secondary weapon. An assigned horse, typically of the iriel. If Marked, a charmed necklace.
Workplace
Most warriors are assigned to a town or city where they serve in the barracks. These barracks are comfortable, with rooms to sleep, kitchens, gathering areas, and a central location in the town or city.
Provided Services
Serve as guards in peacetime. During war, can be sent by the High Commander to the front, or can be assigned to stay and defend the kingdom. Some serve in Cadman as assassins, or go on missions abroad.
Dangers & Hazards
Death, severe injury. Moderate or mild injuries are common. Very few warriors end their service without some form of considerable psychological damage, and they tend to be plagued with PTSD.

There is a constant need for warriors. It employs the most people out of every profession.
Legality
To be a warrior is to serve the queen directly, though they typically answer to the High Commander and rarely the queen herself. Warriors must always defer to their assigned commander, and cannot ever forget they also must serve the people. There are many rules governing how they act.
