Barton
A male dwarf, Barton has lived in Beregost his entire life and knows the area surrounding the village like the back of his hand. He's whip smart, and just as mean. He hides all of this, however, with remarkable skill.
Barton is the son of Kagain, a dwarven mercenary, also of Beregost, who specialized in protecting merchant caravans. While he did not inherit his grandfather's martial spirit, Barton has more than his share of Kagain's avarice and lust for gold. He operates Kagain's Shop, a pawn shop of sorts, popular for its eclectic selection and low prices.
