Doctor Gainsil Mirav is an inventor best known for the development of the reliable Mirav Carbine, a high-capacity, lightweight rifle effective in holding off swams of undead. Mirav has become obsessed with Old World ruins in his later years, losing his riches funding the Mirav Expeditionary Front, though he has not found great success yet. Over the last few years, rumors have spread that he has been cavorting more and more with dark magicians, putting into question the reputation he built for himself over the decades of innovation and discovery.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Gainsil is getting older, but has kept up physical activity and can still keep up with the rest of his expedition on treks into the wilderness. He is comfortable carrying dozens of pounds of equipment acorss the wilderness, rather than leaving all the work to his men and women in the company.
Facial Features
Gainsil sufffered a small burn scar to the left side of his chin from a gunpowder accident during his studies at Gravellow Institute of Technology. He beard never properly grew back there, so he stays cleanshaven. In the past he periodically entertained having a moustache. Even deep in the wilderness, he still shaves his face every day.

Gainsil Mirav is a trained warcaster, but never focused his efforts on magic enough to truly excel at it.
Apparel & Accessories
Gainsil usually wears his commisioned light warcaster armor out on expedition, along with an armored greatcoat. Inside cities, he usually wears functional clothing that is somewhat out of fashion, along with his armored greatcoat. He has a bandolier with additional magazines for his Mirav carbine and a couple grenades.
He is usually armed with a Mirav carbine, a backup pistol, and a machete.

Gainsil grew up in the first generation of humans to really start showing signs of weak souls, and seeing the weak minds of his fellow classmates scared him off at an early age from having children of his own that could turn out to be Deadeyes, leaving him uninterested in woman as a teenager. He instead grew interested in other men in his classes at the technological institute he attended. He was married to a man for around 15 years before his husband passed away due to lung cancer from working in a steamjack factory for 2 decades. In the time since, Gainsil is rumored to have had numerous other short-term relationships and flings, but has not gone public with any of them.
Gainsil has had to deal with women claiming he fathered their children periodically throughout his life, especially after the death of his husband. He is quick to dismiss these claims, as he has never been with a woman ever in his life. That does not stop people from trying to get a better life for their children by scamming the rich inventor, however.
