34th Session
General Summary
The session begins with the after match of the fight at the end of the last session. The others have captured an overlord who complains that they had a truce and the Old Oneskeep their rules. The Colonel asserts that when it comes to "Her" safety, he has no rules. After the overlord is taken to the guards at the stairs. Marluna questions the restraint. They have the most powerful mind and sound mages alive and they're not being used to their full potential and with Galla they could pull the whole tunnel system down and Marluna, herself is not using her full offensive potential. She smugly wishes for a spectrum mage which the party picks up may be an indication that Colonel and perhaps someone else is of spectrum. The Colonel maintains that he will only break the rules strictly necessary to protect Her Highness and that she is already upset with him.
The group spilts up, Ronen and Galla go with the party. The party gives a communication earring to the Colonel and another with an injuried guard to give to the group with the princess. The party finds another staircase leading up and loop back around to where the Colonel's group has dispatched some more of the enemy. Goldblade sends the party back to previous large room to go north from there and he goes north from that room. The party finds a kitchen with 2 workers whom they tie up. One tells them that the children are kept in a room down the hallway and there are 9 of them. The changelings stay over in the way the Colonel's group went. They tell the Colonel who tells them to go get the kids.
There are 10 children in the prison room. Ellie uses "incite greed" as a way to get the children to follow her and the party thinks that a changeling would be less likely to fall for it. 3 children don't fall for it. Tasha goes to nick each one with a sliver dagger. The second child grabs her and stabs her with a poison dagger. Galla uses a gaint stone had to restrain the changeling and the rest hit it until it dies or help shepherd the children away. They get news that the princess in not on the ship. A storm had started and the ship is abandoned. The party deciedes to check it out and gets passed by the Colonel who is booking it back to the ship. They decide to stuff the children into the bag of holding.
A wet Colonel is frantically looking around the ship. Ellie sends a telepathic message to Marisol and gets a short one in reply saying they're in a cave to the west. The princess had another fit of hystria.
While they're searching, Ronen mentions to Goldblade that they have the kids "in the bag." The Colonel inquires as to the number of children. Upon hearing 9, the number the 3rd changeling said, he reveals that his group found a child's corpse. The party takes the kids out, subdue the changeling and puts it in special manacles. The guard takes it back to the ship.
They find the princess and her protector's in a cave and let the children out. Enzo dries everyone off. The Colonel demands Ellie check over the princess who seems physically okay and aware of her surroundings. The Colonel does end up hugging her at the insistants of Ellie and Theo. Ellie takes the party on a walk in the storm and explains she's telepathic of mind and dream and has been using her powers on some of their enemies including Eldred. Upon direct questioning, Caspian admits he is of air.
