Time Clan Library of Horace
The Time Clan Library of Horace is an architectural work of art designed by Aimon Ventura, an Old One. It's a grand wooden dome 4 stories high with large glass windows. The library has an open atrium with 3 upper floors with railing hug the outer walls. Stairways hug the walls on the north and south walls including two going down into a basement area. The ceiling is made of thick glass. On the wall above the door is a large portrait of King Silverio Chronos beautifully done like an Italian renaissance painting. It's an extremely old, but well care for masterpiece and there's a legend that it was a gift from the The Keeper of Light over a millennium ago. There is a heating and cooling system which keeps the library at a constant temperature regardless of the outside weather.
A large circular desk sits in the center of the first floor is staffed by librarians. In the middle of the desk is a large water clock with the water dyed midnight blue. There's a soft chime on the hour to alert library patrons to the passing of time. Tables, chairs and arm chairs are placed in clusters around the library.
The basement houses several printing presses that are used to print and reprint books. There is also a restricted area that costs 1 gp per day to enter where the more delicate materials are and beyond that is another area that costs an additional 3 gp where the most delicate materials which are not easily reproduced are held. Gloves are required in these areas and patrons are not allowed to fetch the materials.
