Argau
The galley of the S.V. Quintessence always has an alluring smell thanks to the masterful cooking of Argau, the ship's lead galley chef. Argau hails from a distant world he calls Hydaelyn, though he is often reluctant to talk of home. When given the right ingredients, Argau ensures meals on the Quintessence are second to none. Even during long voyages when the ship is down to salt pork and tuber reserves, he manages to make meals that keep crew morale high.

Though Argau does not talk about it much, he is still not entirely sure how he ended up in Sigil. He and his companion Mogret were discovered there by sages of the Planar Cartographic Society. They were curious of a species they had not seen before, and offered shelter to him and Mogret in exchange for information. Argau's inability to answer their questions frustrated the sages of the society, and they nearly returned him to the streets of Sigil.
Rurik Allar happened to be visiting the society during Argau's stay, and realized Argau was not the first of his kind that he had seen. Rurik recalled ancient texts describing a lost cluster of crystal spheres in which a species similar to Argau's had been cataloged. Sensing Argau's growing worry, Rurik offered to take him and Mogret into the employ of Allar Transplanar. Rurik believed that with the resources at his disposal, he would one day be able to return the two companions to their home.
