Danni
Danni is a Shianti woman of the Soreni clan. Like the majority of Shianti, Danni originally hails from the island of Zhor. Danni was raised as a warrior and served one of the minor noble houses until, through no fault of her own, she failed to protect her charge from an attack from one of the Great Ones . This failure left her horribly injured and deaf for months. When she recovered, she refused to take her own life as penance for her failure and so she became a grey warrior. She left Zhor in MS 5020.
Bearing a resentment towards both her own culture, and the Great Ones that ruled it, she moved among humans. She found herself fighting in conflict after conflict with a variety of mercenary companies. She never felt any abiding loyalty to any of them, and would move on every few years.
Danni is an exceptional swordswoman and archer, favoring the use of a single longsword when not relying on her bow. She often carries 1 - 3 fire seeds, and a mace as a reserve weapon. She still uses her traditional elven light armor but has long since stained it so as to remove any coloring that would imply house loyalty.
During a period of time between mercenary companies, she was hired as a warrior to deliver the ransom for Baron Corvis 's son, Lionel . When that ransom delivery was complicated, she stayed with her companions until Lionel was seen safely to Duadon . Believing that the boy was still in danger, she remained in Eldenora and enlisted in the Lion's Pride .
During her time with the Lion's Pride she often trained with Lionel. Though raised in Eldenora, his combat skills were lacking and Danni focused on teaching more traditional elven combat style that relied more on elegance and grace than brute force. While Lionel never excelled in hand to hand combat under her tutelage, he steadily improved and could eventually take his place among the nobility.
Following the signing of the Steamjack Accords and the dissolution of the Lion's Pride she returned to travelling. She spends most of her time in Slovia but returns to visit Lionel when her path brings her back to Duadon.
