He was due to be granted his full knighthood when The Loser's Club was banished to Kakush. He traveled with them for a time, but was slain on June 13, MS 4457 by a patrol of ghouls working for #Tayfik al-Shinzar . The Loser's Club buried him in the deserts of Vassagonia .
Fueled by the necromantic influence of Tayfik al-Shinzar , Gerard arose as an undead predator. Disguising himself, he stalked The Loser's Club across Vassagonia . He failed to catch them before they left Vassagonia , and followed them to Korli .
After arriving in Korli , he made contact with Keraptis . Keraptis recruited him in an effort to stop the The Loser's Club .
He was finally laid to rest during the events of The Return of Gerard Sureblade .
