Cherished Slopes Clan
The Cherished Slopes Clan was a colony of tabaxi and yukisaru that made their home amongst the pine forests and rocky bluffs of The Sentinel.
A few months ago, the Clan was forced to flee their home when it became overrun with undead led by the oni, Aku no Kirai. They made their way to the city of Damarask, where the superstitious commoners left them little choice but to engage in contracts of indentured servitude in a camp on the city's prison island.
Now, most of the tabaxi and yukisaru work a number of jobs in exchange for shelter and meager provisions.

The Cherished Slopes Clan seek a harmonious state of living, with each of their nine life cycles marked by greater understanding of their place amongst the natural world.

The Cherished Slopes Clan is too small to have an army, but many train from birth to help protect against any unnatural forces encroaching from the Blightlands to the west. The leader of these forces is a large tabaxi known as Rolling Howl.
Religion
The Cherished Slopes Clan are followers of Lun Weia, a tabaxi goddess who guides her followers through 9 reincarnated lives on the path to enlightenment. They are keepers of the Hua Linghun (hwa LING-oon), the soul fire, and from their lofty mountain home they seek to guard the world against the undead and unnatural forces from the Blightlands.
After burning for many centuries the Hua Linghun was recently extinguished, an action which left the clan's home vulnerable to the forces of an oni known as Aku no Kirai. Realizing that their home was no longer safe, the clan leader, Coat of Many Clouds mobilized the clan to find a new home until the Hua Linghun could be restored.

The Cherished Slopes Clan believe in reincarnation of the soul on the path to ultimate enlightenment.
Priesthood
The spiritual life of the Cherished Slopes Clan was led by the high priestess Petal of the Breeze before she was killed by the oni, Aku no Kirai.
