Kislev
Kislev is a fort stationed in Northmarch on the southern edge of the swamps that sit at the southern border of the Troll Crags. Kislev was stationed there to spot any attack that came from the western most portion of the troll crags. Most of the giants have made their way to Rax and thus has experienced very little movements from the giants. The outpost was then taken over by the Hellknights after being pushed out of the Sunlands and being relegated to policing the frontier towns. Kislev has been converted by the Hellknights to their base of operations and created their own black iron keep within Kislev called New Erebus. Kislev is now run entirely by the Hellknights as the legionnaires stationed there have been redeployed to Markland and Eastwatch as they were no longer needed in Kislev.
Kislev is a terrifying place to go for most people, but the hellknights would have it no other way. Being so close to the swamps they created a new form of torture which involves flaying and cutting open individuals, but leaving them alive and tied to posts in the swamp for the wounds to fester and become infested. The cries of those being tortured there as well as the wooden posts they are tied to earned it the name the Wailing Woods. This punishment is reserved for the worst of the worst criminals in Sunreach.
Demographics
Kislev is staffed entirely by Hellknights after complaints of the legionnaires of not being able to sleep after hearing the screams of the wailing woods. They have been redeployed and the fort has been entirely taken over by the Hellknights and the criminals they bring to punish.
Defences
Kislev was fortified with deep trenches and wooden palisades as most legion constructed fortresses are. When Walter arrived bringing the Hellknights he used the wealth he had accumulated to build a large imposing black iron keep to reside in and initiate new Hellknights into the order. After the legionnaires were redeployed the walls of Kislev have been adorned with 'trophies' of the criminals that have been tortured in the wailing woods.
Industry & Trade
Kislev is mostly a military encampment and thus produces very little goods of their own, but they do produce their own tools of the trade which they will occasionally export. They produce some worked iron goods such as cages, chains, heavy barding, and heavy saddles.
