Heroes
Now what you're here for: Superheroes! Gateway City is full of em (including yours truly!)
The biggest and most historied are the
Union of Legends, captained by
Silver Star. They came together in the early 20th century to fight in the great war, and made Gateway City their base of operations shortly after. You can bet they were out there punching Nazis as well. Other than the core members, they have lots of help.
They operate globally, but have a special place in their heart for us! You can visit their base, the
Hall of Legends, a popular destination for tourists and locals alike!
They recently gave their sidekicks their own team, the
Junior Union of Legends, lead by local hottie
Danger X. They're a little rough around the edges, but they seem to be doing pretty well for themselves.
But these teams don't carry the burden alone, lots of other supers are out there. Recent up and coming
New Guardians have alot of buzz.
Hierophant, sometimes seen at the side of the Union, sponsored the team himself. They seem to really have the DA
Augustine Burroughs all riled up though, he's been making all sorts of noise about how unethical it is to have kids out there doing vigilante work!
I'll spend a little time tooting my own horn, I'm
Dragonfly! Other than fight crime, I try to fly under the radar (pun intended), and gather all the news about supes to bring to you. You can read by most recent blog online, on the this same site! Like, share, subscribe!
Villians
The most recent baddie to assault the city was the
Librarian, and not the friendly kind who shushes you when you're too loud. She tried to open a portal over the city to summon who knows what, but the side effect were all sorts of paper monstrosities. (NG
Issue 1: Paper chase - Ed!)
HIVE hasn't been heard from in a while. These super science baddies are always up to something though.
Industry
Virtagen Labs has been seeing big news lately, especially on the stock market. With all the metahuman activity these days, it's nice to have some normal science on the side of the little guy.
Tourist Sites
I'll try not the spend much time on this, but if from out of town be sure to visit Statue Island. It's at the far point of
Peninsula Park, and offers the most stunning view of both Gateway City and all of Fallswoth across
Gateway Bay.
Stratham Station is worth seeing too, though I'm betting most of you came through here if you didn't take a cab from the Hobington airport.
Local Venues
If you're young and new to the city, I'd recommend checking out
The Third Rail. The EDM scene there is off the hook! All ages!
If you want a good dog, I recommend
Clean Gene's Franks. It's franchised around the city.
Outside the City
Fallsworth is to the west, and Hobington to the north. In my humble opinion, neither offer much to see! No offense to locals there, but you're in Gateway City for a reason!
