Eleyef (L-ee-eff)
Eley native to the sweltering jungles of Ixuil, Eleyef are hot-headed and passionate. Constantly energized by their inner flames, eleyef are able to easily survive against the ferocious beastmen and other dangers of the jungle.

Most eleyef typically speak Ignan as their elemental language.
Average technological level
Eleyefs are more primitive then the other eleys, preferring to utilize stone, mud and wood for their tools, and mostly relying on divine magic rather then technology.
Common Dress code
The eleyef wear little in the way of clothing, as any clothing they make must be crafted to resist the constant flames that flicker out of their bodies. Many wear only simply loincloths and jewelry, but they will coat themselves with mud when they need to move stealthily through the jungle.
Art & Architecture
The eleyef build most shelters out of a fire-retardant mud that solidifies hours after cooling, but also build large and more important structures out of obsidian and stone.
Common Customs, traditions and rituals
Eleyef love to dance and revel, often crafting large bonfires in the center of their villages and performing ritual dances around them.
Birth & Baptismal Rites
A baby eley is tossed into the fire in its parents hut, and its parents celebrate with a partner dance around the firepit, so that the baby may feel the loving embrace of Yef in the flames.
Funerary and Memorial customs
Like the fires of their birth, the remains of a deceased eleyef are placed in the hearth of its home, with its family members performing various dances over the hours it takes for the remains to be reduced to ashes.

One of the members of the legendary band of heros, the Band of the Sunlit Sword, was an eleyef dancer named Mataya.
