Hangu (Han-goo)

Tengu native to the high peaks of Kirru, the hangu view themselves as the superior tengu, closest to the divine due to their increased flight capabilities. Resembling hawks and other high-flying birds of prey instead of crows, the hangu have much larger arm wings that grow in quickly after birth, and thus can achieve actual flight much easier than other tengu.

Courtship Ideals

A courting hangu must attempt to catch their potential partner in a chase through the sky, creating a beautiful sky-dance of sorts.

Relationship Ideals

Hangu are fiercely territorial and defensive, with both parents having equal and completely control over the actions of their chicks. Due to their sometimes arrogant natures, few hangu have close friends outside of the Eleyai. While this attitude can be a hindrance, many hangu have a strong sense of justice, and few can be turned away from a noble cause once they decide to commit to it, and such actions often gains the hangu at least begrudging respect of its peers.

Major organizations

A vast majority of hangu live and work for the Svanti Empire, viewing the Eleyai as kindred spirits and arbitiers of the sky. They have aided them in their conquest of the realm, and many hangu have a hand in building and maintain the nations mechanical airships.
