Church of Pelor

First established in the early days of the Three Kingdoms after the War of the Gods, the Church of Pelor is an ancient church celebrating the teachings and boons of the great god Pelor including light and all that is good and righteous. Its symbol is a sun face.

Values

The Church of Pelor is generally regarded as culturally conservative and completely intolerant of all evil. The church's original teachings include enforcement of strict moral guidelines for its followers behavior - although this has been notably slackened in some modern branches of the church, such as in the Ascan Pantheon. Widespread teachings include sexual abstinence until marriage and the cultivation of seven virtues (the opposite of the Cardinal Sins). Contested teachings between modern and traditional branches of the church include teachings regarding the outlawing of slavery and prostitution. Locations
The modern branch of the Church of Pelor is most active in the Ascalon Empire as part of the Ascan Pantheon, while the more traditional branch is active in the Three Kingdoms, Sylvenne, and Luncia, with some state support in the Riverlands.
