Sha-Eatain

Floating above a massive swirling whirlpool, the village of Sha-Eatain marks the last remnant of the High elves of Eldaria.The village was formed during The Shattering when the strongest 7 elf families, using the last of their Arcane Crystal energy, lifted their ocean islands up out of the water to counteract the Drow from sinking them into the underworld. The 7 floating islands that make up the village, each ranging from 10 to 100 acres in surface area, float permanently about 300 feet above the water, each with a main large home and several other small homes that house all of the family members.
Flight, or magic, is required to get around from island to island. A breeding herd of Magebreed Hippogriffs from Varna ferry people around as needed. Those that fall into the waters below are alomst certainly doomed to death by the whirlpool.
The inhabitants still keep up with the arcane arts, and at times can even give Morgrave University a run for their money as far as research and raw power goes.

Architecture

The architecture on each island is unique to the family, but all islands havea stark difference compared to wood elf homes. The homes here are palatial, made of stone and metal, and feature angular geometry.
