Related Character Bio

Maegan Targaryen inherited the Oakheart looks, having green eyes instead of the Valyrian violet. Her hair is a light blonde which is a mix between her father’s white and mother’s more brownish hair. Maegan grew up in the shadow of her older brother Aegar, but she was never jealous of him. Maegan found ways to enjoy her free time on her own, having taught herself to read and playing around in the field imagining to be a bird flying through the sky or a deer running through the woods. Her imagination has always kept her mind occupied.   In her younger years she often visited Old Oak with her mother. She loved the woodlands and natural features of The Reach. As she grew older she liked to dress up as a knight or a bard pretending to play a song and come up with rhymes and sing them throughout the entire castle. The servants nicknamed her “little songbird” for her sweet voice.   At the age of 11 she got betrothed to Robert Swann who is three years younger than herself. He visits Summerhall often with his mother who meets Vaegon for his council meetings.   Maegan and Robert share an awkward relationship being betrothed at such a young age. Robert used to find Maegon somewhat peculiar at first, but has gotten used to it and sometimes even plays along in some of her imaginations where he plays a brave knight who has to defeat a wild monster to save Maegan dressed up in one of her mother’s dresses in which is two times her size. When Robert finally slays the imaginary beast she mocks him for taking too long and that she would likely have died of boredom already, and that she would want to play the knight next time to show him how it should be done better.
