Banyani observed the underwhelming class of officers the senate had drawn together for the defense of the mainland. Most of the gathered aristocrats were bureaucrats in decorative armor. The militia units arriving appeared equally unprepared. Most arrived without armor or provisions, some even arrived unarmed. Luckily the senate had granted him permission to use the city's arsenal. He had brought wagons loaded with pikes and leather armor to distribute to the men.
Banyani's command was mostly meant to deter Dothraki scouts from entering Limaosy Valley. He wasn't expected to offer any real resistance if the horde decided to ride north. Still he felt it was his responsibility to get the men ready to fight calvary. Especially if the Dothraki were to become more permanent neighbors.
