Half-Elf Species in Mendala | World Anvil

Half-Elf

Half-elves are the result of a union between an elf and a human. Due to the steady influx of elves into human cities and countries, half-elves are not as uncommon as they used to be, though they are still sometimes discriminated against since the mixing of the races is largely considered taboo. Currently half-elves make up around 1% of the population   It doesn’t matter which parent is which race, the result is always a half-elf. A half-elf that mates with a human will always produce a human baby, and if they mate with an elf, the baby will be an elf. Half-elves that mate with dwarves, produce zin babies.

Physical Characteristics

Half-elves typically range in height between 1.5 to 2 meters in height, just like humans. They have the slightly pointed elf ears, but not the sharp facial features. Like humans and elves, half-elves can have a wide range of skin tones, hair, and eye color, though they always have straight hair. Because half-elves inherit the highly active adimus immune system of elves, they are very slender and have high resistance to disease and illness. In addition, half-elves stop aging around 25 years old.

Adimus Capabilities

Like humans, half-elves have high mentus diversity. They also have the deep adimus energy pool and high aptitude for the mentus realm that elves have, though notably, they are not able to sense malice.   Half-elves have a 50% chance of being born a channeler, a 30% chance of being born another type of mentant-non, and a little more than 15% chance of being a mentant. Like humans, half-elves can also be born as mandants or into rare adimus classifications, but only mandant-non, skillmaster, or melder.   Like humans, half-elves can use their adimus to permanently change their eye and hair color. Also like humans, the women can control their own fertility and whether or not they can conceive, and the men can control the sex of their offspring.
