Zin

The zin race is very mysterious since most people are unaware it even exists. A zin is only born when a half-elf mates with a dwarf, or a half-dwarf-mates with an elf. A zin that mates with any other race than a zin will always produce a baby of the other race, meaning that zin can only produce zin offspring if they mate with other zin. Because zin can be as diverse looking as humans, they are nearly indistinguishable from them. Only a mind mage or someone with a similarly high aptitude with reading the mentant realm would be able to tell that someone is from the zin race.   Notably, the plural of zin is zin.

Physical Characteristics

Zin are nearly indistinguishable from humans. However, they naturally have darker skin tones ranging anywhere from olive to mocha and their natural hair is always sleek and black. Their physical strength, stamina, and resilience are higher than dwarves, and do not physically age after they reach between 20 and 25 years old. They have slender bodies like elves but not the sharp facial features or pointed ears.

Adimus Capabilities

Zin have the highest racial chance of being born mandants. There is a 50% chance that a zin will be some classification of mentant-non, a 30% chance of them being born a mandant, a 15% chance of them being born a mentant, and a 5% chance of them being born a mandant-non, skillmaster, or melder. They have the largest default adimus energy pool of any race, and they have the most active adimus immune system. Zin also inherit the humans’ mentus diversity, the dwarves’ high channeler mentus affinity, and the elves’ high aptitude for the mentant realm but not their ability to sense malice.   Zin are similar to humans in their ability to use their adimus to change certain physical features, but for the zin race, it’s more robust. Zin can permanently change their eye color, their hair type and color, and even their skin tone. So despite being born with very similar physical qualities, zin can be as diverse as humans in how they choose to appear. Also like humans, the women can control their own fertility and whether or not they can conceive, and the men can control the sex of their offspring.
