Bronze Cliff
"The fact of the matter is that corruption had run rampant by the time the mines collapsed, there was a breakdown in trust between the citizens and the nobility. Nobody stopped to examine the facts and instantly jumped to conclusions, this is what caused the downfall of the old way, and if I may be so bold it deserved to die. We can't allow a system to exist that can be brought down by an act of the dragons or a force of nature. I stand before you this day to champion a new society, a thriving society, a society that everyone can take part in and be proud of."

History
Around the 1000 AGF Bralor had expanded to the western side, all the way to the Ox coast, and Crystal Bay was established as a resource gathering point, but the east was mostly untouched. The king of Bralor realized they needed to secure the borders and sent out several expeditions to pushback the hordes of the Wildlands, the tasked proved to be difficult due to shortage of iron and bronze. The king ordered a concentrated expedition into the Berkmark mountain range, establishing the mining camps of Bronze Cliff, Stormhold, and Shimmer Cliff. Bronze Cliff had very large deposits of copper and tin that were easily accessible and was quickly mined and forged into bronze, and the Bralorians were able to slowly push back the Wildlands. Bronze Cliff quickly grew and many investments were made which allowed for the rapid extraction and refinement of Bronze, which made it an obvious location for the construction of forges, many great smiths came from this city.
As the centuries past corruption would seep into the city, mainly the income from the mines, certain officials looking to get their cut of the profits. prospective mining and smithing apprenticeships started to become harder to receive if you didn't know the right people and angry grumbles started to be heard. This practice continued on relatively unopposed and in time the output of the mines started to decline, and the economy begin to shrink. The working class started to become more vocal, blaming the nobles and merchants for unfair practices. The Nobles responded that the workers were stealing the metal ore, this caused a cascading effect of lower output thus causing loss of work. It culminated in 1816 AGF when a gigantic blast erupted from the the mines and caused several cave ins, each side blamed each other, this would set off several events that led to the Bralor civil war. During the war the city became a large staging area for attacks on Stormhold, it's economy did see some growth thanks to the stationing of large groups of soldiers. After the civil war and the signing of the The Barthmont Accords there was a an effort to reopen the mines, but what was found proved to be sobering, the mines were essentially depleted and signs of instability were found on the deeper levels. Bronze Cliff would have fallen into a crisis, but furtune would smile on the city, their savior would be house Valeros. Several reforms had been set into motion by the newly formed Royal council, one of which was setting up the kingdom mint to ensure the standardization of the currency. House Valeros was leading this initiative and chose Bronze Cliff due to having most of the equipment already on hand or easily reconfigured for the task, as well as already having a supply chain with the other mines in the region. With the founding of the Mint the city was revitalized and continue to prosper under Valeros influence.
