Hillfar
Hillfar is located roughly in the center of several lakes, this geography makes it highly defensible and very hard to hide any approach to the town. Due to the highly fertile soul the area around the town makes for excellent farming and herding livestock. The town was attacked in 2501 AGF (known as the The Bloody year) by an orcish horde, but was repelled by Bernard Ursel, after the battle Bernard was appointed to the office of regional mayor.
Defences
Several towers dot the area, mostly around the villages, and some of the hastily constructed walls survived the flooding in 2501 AGF.
Infrastructure
The area is highly Agrarian, farms and irrigation canals are spread throughout the area. While Hillfar is the official city of the region, small villages and hamlets develop around these farms. With a large inflow of crops a livestock trade started to take root, there's a large demand for work and herd animals, which allowed for the formation of a small sector of support shops to facilitate agricultural activities.
History
After the Bloody Year mass graves were dug to the south of Hillfar, due to the highly agrarian nature of the region this task proved to be one of the easier problems to deal with. Farming equipment was assigned to the task and took about a month to accomplish, relatively quick considering the body count and the raids from the roving bands of horde survivors.
