Lady Míriel The Hierophant of Tyrn Gorthad
Priestess of the Arumbarlië
Míriel High Priestess of the Arumbarlië, the primary keepers of burial grounds, the Ananamartar or Arumbarlië maintained extensive archives of rituals, traditions, records, and locations. The brethren of the order considered themselves true children of Illuvatar and the most pious and devoted of his kindred, unlike some of the other religious fellowships, they practiced a restrictive social discipline involving rituals, prayers, and strict heirarchy. The Arthadan commoners and thus were often prosteltized to by the priestesses order. Upon his ascension to rule in Tharbad over the Vice-Kingdom of Cardolan Araphor chose Míriel as his wife, the two had been politically inseperable for decades, the wedding lay as an extravagence unwanted by either but necesitated by the religious order, thus the two were wed and had many sons. Míriel remains in Tharbad dedicating most of her time to the order and its needs, and the needs of her husband and lord.
