Ruling Prince Araphor
The Pious Argelion
Brother to the King, Araphor rules Cardolan with piety and stone. Witnessing his father Argeleb I die before him in the hinterlands of Rhudaur soured the young Prince to the hillmen and only drove him further towards the pantheon of the Valar. On Arveleg I ascension he took the seat as Ruling Prince of Tharbad upon his fathers command, often considering his Grandfathers proposal of secession and wondering what might have been had Cardolan been granted her independence. To that end Araphor has focused on expanding Cardolani economic, military, and cultural independence from Arthedain much to the Kings chagrin. This has been exacerbated further by the religious divide between the Northern and Southern Vice-Kingdoms with the people of Cardolan often refraining from travel, buisness, and aid to those of less righteousness. This has lead to a great deal of isolationism in the chief city of Tharbad and an effort to rebuild the city of Tyrn Gorthad upon the Barrow Downs. Araphor has been convinced to aid his brother in his war against Angmar with the support of the Fellowship and the valor they displayed defending the Barrows, Restoring the Wards, and encoutering an emmisary of the valar so holy as Tom. Though he will suport the Fellowship and the War he still has many doubts on the efficacy of an alliance with the hillmen and his brother leadership and wisdom. He is however thrilled to do battgle alongside the Noldor of Aman and thier King Oromendero.
