Seventh Prince Veärnil
Veärnil rules the Girithlin Highlands of Cardolan. Though soft and cautious in disposition Veärnil is one of the few modern
Dúnedain who approach the height of their ancestors,
standing 7'6". He has the martial skills that might be
expected of a man of his size; he is bold and forward in
battle, although he is approaching his later years. Veärnil
possesses simple, yet refined, tastes; poetry is his favorite
hobby. He is an unmistakable figure on public occasions,
noted for his brooding crimson robes, and his refusal to
hide his balding pate beneath a convenient helm. Veärnil's piety has never been question by his lord Araphor though the people have noted his choice in subordinates often lean secular and noble, an abnormality in the typically theocratic Kingdom.
For his manifest virtues and piety
Veärnil is the least conniving and ruthless of the lords
of Cardolan. He has effectively
managed the
principality since his
youth, a fact that his overzealous
father and erstwhile elder
brother rarely note.
