Holger Stenvag

Holger Stenvag was born in Starhome. His mother and father were both guards in Starhome. As a child Holger would be fighting others children to prove his strength, but he never used his strength to stand above people. He was studious and a hard worker, always helping out others when he could.
At the age of 10 he joined the city guard and quickly became a respected member, not only for his skills with the blade but also due to his way with people. Instead of resolving issues though battle or orders he sought a way to make all parties happy. This did not mean that he wouldn't get into trouble now and then. His temper quickly ran out when dealing with stubborn people who just wouldn't listen. As he got older he grew more and more out of his bad habits and became a man whose patience never ran out.
After the old captain of the guard stepped down the entire guard patrol decided that Holger was the man to take over. He had just become 21 years of but his work ethics and dedication made him the perfect man for the job. Holger initially wanted to refuse the position but decided that he did not want to disappoint his fellow guards. Under his rule the guards became far more lenient, slacking of on harsh punishments. He adopted a lot of traditions from the Spirit Clans and gave them far more freedom.
As the captain of the guard it was Holgers job to keep the townsfolk safe, something he took very seriously. He had during his time as captain been disappointed with how he had handled several disputes knowing that they could have ended up better but nothing compared to the shame he felt after the nightmare of memories. Those he had sworn to protect had died and he had forgotten them. For the first time he was enraged, swearing upon his life that he would never allow such a thing to happen again. He joined the Starhome council and worked to reestablish the order in the city and build a better safety net in case anything was to happen. This included the project of a small wood fort on the edge of town as well as several basement bunkers to take shelter.
All of Holgers preparations came to use far earlier then he had ever hoped. Less then a week after the bunkers were set up The battle of the dead  begun and his preparations saved over a thousand lives. This did not make it up for the thousands that died in his eyes and he took his own life.
