Io

Io is the third-largest moon of Jupiter. It is named for the mythical Human princess Io, ancestor to many mythical heroes and a lover of the king of the gods. Unlike the other Galilean moons, Io has high levels of volcanic activity. This makes it ideal for mining, as well as several manufacturing plants on the surface or in low orbit. Aside from gas mining operations on Jupiter itself, Io is the largest driver of economic activity in the Jovian system, and hosts a minor orbital of the Sol Habitat Complex.
