Proxima Centauri

Proxima Centauri (also called Alpha Centauri C) is a Class M star located in the Alpha Centauri System. It orbits the binary star pair of Alpha Centauri A and B at a considerable distance, though less so than Human astronomers once thought. Due to the distance, which can take months of travel to reach the rest of the star system, the @habitat orbitals around Proxima Centauri and its planets are more self-sufficient. The star itself is responsible for powering the trio of orbitals, and exports any excess energy to the rest of the system. As the hyperlane to the Procyon System is closest to Proxima Centauri, in many respects the star's economy is more closely linked to that system instead of the Horizon colony.
