Ice Armoring
Effect
Ice forms on the caster's body, taking the form of scales or spikes.
Side/Secondary Effects
Most people who use ice armor have an innate tolerance for cold temperatures.
Nevertheless, it is recommended to summon this armor on top of thick, insulating clothing to avoid frostbite from prolonged contact.
Another aspect to consider is the continued maintenance of the armor. A fair amount of concentration is needed to keep it from melting, and broken sections need to be replaced quickly during combat.
Exhaustion tends to affect both the wielder's personality traits and cognitive processes. Symptoms can include:
being caught off guard by attacks
bumping into obstacles
searching for obvious things
struggling to comprehend words
being less social than usual
being less inhibited in the company of others
being less forgiving about other's actions
being less passionate about one's interests
Application
It protects the wielder from attacks with sharp weapons such as swords or claws. To a certain degree, the armor can also intercept blunt impacts or piercing damage, but it tends to shatter in this case. Spikes forming as part of the armor can have an offensive function as well, injuring unprotected opponents with their sharp points and edges.
