Illex

The Illex are the result of generations of relationships between humans and Xylen before any sense of racial tensions plagued the groups. While still physically similar to the Xylen, the Illex have lost their visibly plant-like appearance. All Illex have horns that protrude from the forehead, similar to the Xylen. But unlike the Xylen, an Illex's horns do not branch and are much stronger. Illexs' skin resembles humanity but with a larger variety of desaturated colors such as yellow, red, purple, and grey.

Similar to humans, it is quite rare for an Illex to have an affinity for magic. Illex may have yellow eyes similar to their Xylen relatives but dark-vison benefits are reduced.
