Valuables
Paintings of the original builder and the first patrons decorate the trunks. There’s also a hidden chest where the bar keeper holds his money.
Hazards & Traps
There is a trap door over by where the hidden chest is. It quickly opens up once stepped on, sending anyone plummeting down 20 feet.
Special Properties
There’s a force field around the edges of the pub to prevent people from falling off the edge. Originally, no support beams were made to protect visitors.
Architecture
The bar is built into the tops of a copse of redwood trees.
Defenses
Back when it was hidden, it had a silent alarm that would go off whenever guards treaded near the copse.
History
During the beginning of the Human-Ivierae War, Cassius Benoist had outlawed the use of Mirthaean magic for recreational use like getting drunk or high, wanting to focus the efforts to defeat the Symilf kingdom. The citizens were upset at this law, and wanted to do something about it.
The pub was only meant to be temporary, as they didn’t have the materials needed to build a pub with usual shelter methods like stone, so they built it into a copse of redwood trees high up in the air to prevent guards from peering into the illegal bar. It’s actually considered to be the first ever building built into trees, it became so popular as a building method that many people picked it up as an architectural style. Many ivierae didn’t participate in the pub, as they believe that redwoods are sacred and shouldn’t be destroyed just to protest against petty laws. Some ivierae even ratted out the pub to authorities, but the guards couldn’t find evidence of tea or regular alcohol being served.
Tourism
People from all over the continent love to visit the pub, especially as it was one of the first few buildings to be made into a redwood tree.
