Molok Island
Molok Island is a leper colony run as a charity by the Order of the Lord of Chaos (the Church of Morgath).
As a public health policy, families in the City of Golotha, and large parts of the Kingdom of Rethem, are legally required to bring their leper-afflicted loved ones to Golotha's temple of Morgath. They will be taken to the Molok Island leper colony to be cared for. Many lepers believe this is a ruse and are sure they will be sacrificed and turned into some undead monster. However, the Church of Morgath points out that the lepers can be seen happily living on this small island from a distance, although ominously, no one is ever allowed to visit. Rumors that "horrors" are being perpetrated on this island are common.
The reality is much worse than the rumors. The Order of the Lord of Chaos has an underground complex in which they experiment on any unfortunate falling into their grasp. They breed curses, poisons, and hideous diseases, planning to unleash them on the unsuspecting world someday.
A) The Wharf
Only the Order's black barges and ships can dock on the island to deliver the occasional priest, new residents, and supplies.
B) Molok Village
A small village containing many poorly maintained houses. Many are abandoned. Fishermen and merchant ships always observe around fifty lepers living on the island. However, none respond to any greetings.
SecretThe villagers are Gulmorvin, Unfree Undead following programmed instructions to appear alive.
Over the years, many of the undead have deteriorated badly. They will attack any living creature except for the Priests of Morgath, who get too close.
C) The Tavern
This building is in a terrible state. It looks deserted.
SecretD) Temple
More of a large shrine, that temple contains an ominous statue of Klyss the Necromancer overlooking the sacrificial alter. The temple has three priests and four acolytes led by Khidarmur Climat. The priests are very rarely seen.
SecretE) Mortuary
The Mortician, Sungai Traitjirr, prepares bodies for animation and repairs undead. Traitjirr is himself a leper and skilled necromancer.
F) The Bat Caves
This hill has two ominous cave openings.
SecretG) The Vaults
Old Morgathic burial vaults dating back to the Theocracy of Tekhos. Some of the vaults are open.
