Alora Cazana
Reverend Alora Cazana
-----
The Begining
Alora is sure now that the gods exist. Her whole life consisted of her family telling her this, and she never listened - until it was too late. Gemma, Alora's Grandmother on her mother's side is a true honest to the ods prophet. When Alora and her identical twin sister Lizzie were born, Gemma predicted that if they didn't follow the ways of the gods that they would die young. To teenage Alora, this prophecy was a joke. She thought it was designed to scare her into praying to the gods and being a good daughter who did what she was told. Lizzie was the perfect child. She was caring and gentle in everything she did. She never complained about her chores, never swore, or lied or did anything to shame the family.
Alora on the other hand was loud, crass, passionate, and independent. She did what she wanted, and didn't care for others. Most nights she snuck out to go to bars to pickpocket and hit on boys. She hated church and their boring clothes and the quiet peaceful feeling she got when she prayed. Alora craved newness and she never wanted to do the same thing twice. Friends were easy to come by for her, but she never let them get too close. This is the same with her family, she told them nothing and expected nothing from them. However, she did share a room with her sister, and despite what she wished to show the world, she would have done anything for her sister. When her sister finally got a boyfriend, Felix, Alora was skeptical. She didn't trust him one bit, but Lizzie decided to get engaged to him anyway.

Everything went Down Hill
Around this time, Alroa had gotten into a new group of "friends". These people were her age, but they grew up on the streets, sons, and daughters of hardened criminals, and they knew nothing of the religious suburban-equivalent life she was running from. The leader Milo, was the next in a long line of infatuations for Alora, and she was prepared to do almost anything to impress him, and he knew it, so he gave her a job to do. Rob a church in Waterdeep. Up until this point, the worst she had done was steal from people while dancing to get enough money for more mead. She was a partier at heart, not a thief, but she didn't turn the job down. She broke into the church at night, stole their money, and as she left she knocked over a candle. As she ran home the flames had already eaten away at her heart. She knew what she had done was way over the line, but what was she going to do? Admit to the crime? Her family would kill her.
She stole a horse as she left and rode home in tears. She felt as if she had gone over the deep end, a criminal with no way to get back to her happy partying self. When she arrived at home, everyone in her large extended family was in the main room, circled around Lizzie. Similar to Alora, Lizzie had sleek black hair and pale skin, but when Alora saw her sister lying their, sweating and pale, her hair falling out in chunks, Lizzie looked like a whole other person. This Lizzie wasn't Alora's Lizzie, she was sick and dying. Of what, Alora didn't know, but this was something Lizzie couldn't take in stride; it was not something she could quietly preserver through like usual. Alora stayed, crying with the family until she passed. Alora was told that it came on suddenly, out of know where. Felix, her fiance, said she was fine just the day before, then that night she suddenly collapsed. He thought it might have been about the wedding, which was to be held the following week. When he mentioned that, Gemma finally stood from her rocking chair in the corner, and walked right up to Alroa. She told her in a devastated and hushed tone to leave and never come back because this was Alora's fault. Gemma had predicted it alright, and Alora, looking between her dead sister and her grandmother, suddenly believed. She robbed a church, burned it to the ground and it killed her sister before she had the chance to get married.
Alora knew she had to leave, but she had no idea where to go. She took the money from the church, and the stolen horse, and a book of scripture of Zodal that used to be Lizzie's favorite book. As Alora traveled, she read this book. She learned about the god Zodal, also known as The Grey Son, and the Gentle Hand. Zodal's messages were about mercy, forgiveness, compassion, hope, and benevolence. Alora took this to heart and decided to change herself. She had always been stubborn, and now that she has decided that this is her new path, no one is going to convince her otherwise.

Friends, Lovers and Rivals of Mythrite
Eventually, she made her way to Mythrite. The place was new, exciting and had all the makings of a new being for Alora. Here she met Bellisa, who was pregnant and kicked out of her home. Alora and Bellisa hit it off quickly, and as a new self-declared woman of the gods, Alora helped her settle into mythrite. Bellisa lived near the church of Zodal, where Alora now helps the sick and hungry.
Across the street is an area with pubs. Alora had decided to go off the drink, for she believes that it will pull her back into her old habits. However, she still enjoyed the energy in the pubs and taverns around town. She was religious now, but not quite to the level of celibacy. This is where Alora met Rahg. They hit it off and dated for some time, however, Alora is fickle when it comes to relationships. Trust doesn't come easy, and the influence that Milo demonstrated over her always lingers in the back of her mind. Before the relationship had time to figure itself out, she ran from it, feeling trapped and afraid of what would happen if it did work out. Her secrets are hers alone, and she's not ready to share them yet. Now the scorned Rahg is her rival. They live in the same circles, and they avoid each other at all costs. Once, Alora even jumped in front of a horse-drawn carriage to narrowly avoid passing by him. However, when there are times where they can't avoid each other, they exchange passive-aggressive quips, much to the amusement of others in the area. She has the feeling that she needs to prove that she made the right decision by leaving him and that she is better off without him.
In the same area of pubs, she met Tanner who was testing out some versions of the wine of the pub-goers. He was trying to perfect the wine, and the scent of it got to Alora. She hadn't had any wine or mead in many moons and she let herself believe that one sip wouldn't hurt. However, she didn't stop there, and she drank all night. that night she felt pulled to Tanner, and they talked about the pressure of their parents and their new goals in life. Despite her having broken her own rules and spilling far too many secrets, she was happy. From then on she was invested in Tanner, even though being around him meant constant temptation form the wine that was his life and passion.

Current motivations
Recently, Alora spends her time raising money to feed and house the poor. She also is attempting to master the art of writing, so that she can spread the word of Zodal, and perhaps even create her own book of scripture. She spends time with her two good friends and is friendly with people around town. She is trying to make a name for herself in this town, and prove to herself that she can be a good person. All the work she does is fueled by guilt and shame. She tries her best to be calm and loving like her sister, but she can't help her outgoing, risk-taking personality. As time goes on, all of her secrets weigh on her, and she hopes to find someone to entrust them to one day. Her past romances haven't gone well, but she is up for trying again, not that she is ready to bare her soul, but she is desperate to have someone to forgive her, and love her despite her past.
