Ginka

Ginka is a gnome who grew up in a group of nomadic gnomes who found her as an infant. Without a last name, she was simply called Ginka. The group traveled all over and was renowned for their arts, from jewelry-making to singing to playing musical instruments and dancing. Ginka learned to dance throughout this time, but was shielded from much of the clientele by the group, whom she considers family.   Ginka, being friendly and cheerful, is often negligent of ulterior motives some possess, making her quite impressionable. She trusted a merchant she met on one such travel, who enticed her with jewels and pretty stones to venture to Mythrite where she could become a rich and famous dancer. Ginka agreed to travel with him, hopeful for these riches. Once they arrived, he abandoned her at a tavern before skipping town. Not knowing anything else, Ginka began to dance at many of the establishments in The Halberd, or to any music that she hears. As a young adult, her energy is seemingly boundless, and she can be seen dancing both late at night in taverns as well as early in the morning on the street. She is well-known for wearing bells and other jewelry that chime as she moves, and she can be heard faintly from a distance as she walks. What money she makes that doesn't go towards food and board gets spent on jewelry, pretty stones, and any other pretty, sparkly, or otherwise valuable objects.   Ginka is generally well-loved, with her cheery and personable disposition, and knows most people in the Halberd--especially those who sell anything pretty and wearable. With how sheltered she was growing up, Ginka trusts people indiscriminately and is quite impressionable to others' ideas and outlooks. While she is somewhat aware of dissatisfaction in the wealth distribution, she is content to continue purchasing whatever pretty baubles catch her fancy and dance. She is easily influenced, especially when pretty trinkets are on the line. As such, she can be enticed to work outside of dancing for a small pretty bell to add to an anklet or a new gem to add to a bracelet.   She has been here for almost a year and has managed to get a small, drafty room for herself, which she drapes with colorful fabrics and stones. Ginka is generally happy and hopeful despite living in the Halberd, and though she regrets leaving her family behind, she continues to hope that she will become rich enough to purchase all of the beautiful shiny trinkets she desires to further decorate herself, and one day rejoin her family. She's terrified of the monsters outside of town and is scared that criminals will take her precious jewels- something which has happened several times in the past after trusting the wrong people.

History

When Blaine arrived at Mythrite, he realized the reality of life behind his walls in Daggerford. The vicious, cut-throat boom town would eat him alive if he didn't act with care. Initially, his nerves bounced everywhere he walked. Eventually, he met Ginka, and those nerves calmed. Ginka's kindness and naivety kept him sane. The two of them would become best friends, with Ginka often dancing along to Blaine, strumming his Lyre from his soul.
