Yamroubela Onyxbringer
Yamroubela Onyxbringer makes it a habit to be found. Within weeks of arriving at Mythrite rumors began to circulate about her ability to seemingly be at two different places at the same time. This, paired with her love of law & order made her a perfect fit for the Town Guard. The role is an extension of her previous job as the head of Daggerford’s militia, but just like in Daggerford, Yamroubela’s penchant for good would be exploited by those above her.
Yamroubela was cast out of Daggerford after a superior requested she leave her post to defend the town from a goblin raid. The raid turned out to be a hoax, and while her post was vacated thieves escaped town with Duchess Morwen Daggerford’s prized silver daggers. Yamroubela was escorted out of town by her superior, and she swears she can still hear the clinking of platinum in his pockets. In Mythrite, she continues to unknowingly help the ones in power, filling their coffers while ‘keeping the citizens safe’. Some of The Korf’s now-permanent residents were definitely-maybe-eh-maybe-not criminals that Yamroubela rid the town of.
However, unlike Daggerford, Yamroubela’s naiveté hasn’t gotten her kicked out of the city. In fact, it’s made her an essential resident in it. Out of the town’s guard, she is easily its most well-received because she is so good at what she does. She once apprehended fifty-three thieves in Mythrilgrist in two hours. The thieves claimed to have been Miners working for the now-deceased husband of Tudhle Huvrelbi, but sources in the Lords' Alliance prompted Yamroubela to think otherwise. The fifty-three were found guilty. The Alliance received the thieves valuables and Ms. Onyxbringer was awarded an exclusive seat at the Hall of the Mountain Kings!, an honor she indulges in nightly. Yamroubela is also a hit with the children of Mythrite, rescuing stray pets and showing off her exceptional ax handling skills.
If you spend time in Mythrite it’s guaranteed you’ll run into Yamroubela. She knows her way around town, has a passion to talk with the people she serves, and loves to help solve their problems… especially in the name of law and order. Sometimes you’ll hear her mutter about seeing monsters in the dark, but when you’ve spent the last nine months in an uncivilized land the wilderness starts to get to you. She’s lovely to talk to otherwise.
