Tetrarch
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
There are a few ways a Tetrach can be removed, First they can be dismissed by the Empress herself in a ceremony known as the "Severing of Corrupted Flesh" which involves the Empress branding the cast off Tetrarch on their arm anyone with said brand cant be elected again to the position of Tetrarch. Another way is your 10 year term comes to an end, and the last is you die in office.

Source of Authority
Each Tetrarch is bestowed their authority from two places: First from the Eternal Empress who allows them to act as her hands, and secondly their home island who elevates them to power
Length of Term
Each Tetrarch serves a term of 10 years, and each person cant be re elected to consecutive terms, They can be elected again after a 20 years out of office
