The Ice Maiden
Many differing stories tell the tale of the Ice Maiden's rise in power. Some claim that she is born of a Northlander and a Frost Giant's union. Some claim that she was forged by the Old Gods to show the way forward. Others still claim that she is from Rhytham and not the Isles, with a pure bloodline of the raiders of old. She does little to answer the questions of her heritage and background, preferring the air of mystery that revolves around her.
She stands impressively tall, even for a Northlander, and has defeated several of the jarls who have opposed her ways, uniting the Northlanders on Askel and Unulf to follow her. She believes that the time of peace is over and that the Northlanders should rise up and raid the isles once more, taking what it theirs as the Daoine's High Kings and Queens have keep they Northlanders from flourishing.
