Old Black Wolf of the Hills
The Old Black Wolf of the Hills was a black wolf that was typically seen by caravans passing through the Scarlet Hills. It followed along the edge of the hills, watching, but never harrying the caravans and she became a fixture of the travels. However, her presence changed and her appearance began to spook the horses whenever she would be seen and sometimes a member of a caravan would wander off into the hills. The League investigated and discovered that at some point somewhat recently, she was slain by kobolds and what they were seeing was a ghost. The ghost would possess people to try to return to the kobold lair to rescue her captured pups. The League slew the kobolds and rescued the pups and the Old Black Wolf of the Hills finally was able to rest.
