The Twenty Orders

"Hand in hand, the united stand, raising shields ever so grand. The triumph of justice, virtue, and order, the Knights will protect us across all borders."   -Bard Song "The Triumph of Justice" the unofficial anthem for the Twenty Orders
The Twenty Orders refers to the Knightly orders sanctioned by the Imperial High Council to defend the peace and adjudicate when needed. Though they are referred to as the Twnety Orders, this is more of an artifact title as there are more than 20 different orders of knights in the realm. However, the name is tradition and sticks around, as a testament to the 20 different groups of soldiers that made up the legendary Feroxian Liberation Army.   The Twenty Orders follow a hierarchy that instills a direct chain of command within the system. At the top, everything is overseen and governed by the Minister of Military Affairs. They work closely with the Minister of Internal Affairs to settle disputes and enforce the law. Many Orders are entangled with the Holy Zygallic Church as well, allowing their knights more authority in multiple areas, as well as covering a wider range of bases.     The Official Twenty Orders are divided amount five separate groups, each overseen beneath the Head General by the Five Generals of Ferox. These five Generals Each directly handle 4 specific orders, though some orders have been known to crop up within the orders.

Public Agenda

Uphold the peace across all of Verous.

History

During the Feroxian Liberation Campaign, Alaric Ron Zhen gathered many allies. These different allies, tied together through his connections to the other 3 champions, made up the Feroxian Liberation Army. After the war was over, these groups were then rebranded to helping keep the peace in a land that had seen much turmoil and war. Though there were more than 20 groups, many of their leaders and people were shuffled around to make sense.   To this day they continue to keep the peace. Despite their connection to the church, they are not strictly connected to them. Only a handfull of people make up the holy orders, while the rest answer only to the Feroxian High Council, and the Emperor themselves.

Uphold our peace, protect our people, serve the Empire.
