Duke
Agapepto Serafin, called
Aggy by his family, is the head of
House Serafin, Lord of
Redcrown, and Duke of the Serafin duchy in the Kingdom of Raventiva. He currently serves as Master of Laws for King
Georgio I Kcrune.
He is married to
Sienna Serafin, and the two of them have had one son,
Laisel Serafin, and a daughter,
Giosetta Serafin. Agapepto also has a legitimized bastard son,
Patrizio Serafin, called the Black Lion.
Agapepto is a veteran of the Autumn war, serving mainly on the Garnaki front where he was indisposable as a commander. He and
Bareris Haphet shared the command, which proved to be a horrible pairing. Agapepto believed Bareris was elevated to a commander purely because of the reputation of his father, while Bareris believed his cousin disagreed with his tactics at every turn for no other reason but spite, even if they were the right call.
Appearance and Character
Agapepto is a man of middling height, with extremely broad shoulders and thick muscled arms. He has long dark brown hair, which he has grown out since the war. Agapepto's face is always clean shaven, only sometimes growing a five o'clock shadow before it is shaven again. He has blue eyes that are covered under his heavy constantly burrowed brows. Scars from the Autumn war mark his face, even more cover his body. He carries an angry expression and has a scrunched face.
Agapepto is a cruel and ruthless man. He has a bitter and cold persona, and a reputation for violence, which he doesn't care to hide. He is more level headed by his brother,
Nero Serafin, but Agapepto still carries the infamous Serafin temper. He enjoys challenging combat, leaving easy fights for his brother. He will only accept a fight if they carry the potential to give him a good fight. Agapepto is quite arrogant and confident in his fighting abilities, he does not believe any man is his equal, while also being a sore loser.
Despite his personality, Agapepto is a competent battle commander. He is more feared than respected in the military, and does not take no for an answer. He was able to match the Garnaki forces in their ferocity, and was able to push them back in the war. He keeps Garnaki skulls in his court room as decorations.
Agapepto owns a set of blacksteel plate armour, which he wears a surcoat over that depicts the twin lions of Serafin. The black helmet is shaped to look like a lions maw, and two rubies are set where the eyes would be. He wears a long red cape with his armour. The pauldrons and gauntlets are spiked with metallic lion's teeth. For clothes, Agapepto wears thick padded leather shirts over his chainmail. He is usually fond wearing a gorget, and he carries a giant white fur cloak that is fastened by two iron lion pins. His left shoulder was badly broken in the Garnaki front, he now wears a brace that his hidden by one of his spiked blacksteel pauldrons.
History
Early Life
Agapepto Serafin was born the eldest child of Peppin and
Zola Serafin in the year 1071 CC. When he was born a ceremonial melee was held at
Redcrown where - was the victor.
Agapepto was tutored for four years at Ironstone before returning to his home at thirteen years of age to be promised to Sienna Breth. He threw a tantrum that left the table flipped, spilling the ceremonies fine food and drink all over the ground and guests, and a servant without an ear. His father beat him until his eye nearly fell out of it's socket despite Sienna's father, Lord Matric Breth, telling Peppin that there was no fault.
Sometime when Agapepto was eighteen, he fathered a bastard son,
Patrizio Serafin. Though, Patrizio would not reveal himself to the court until the year 1099.
