The Gas Miner's Union, The Station Labor Union, and the Freebooter's Guild joined forces in a strike to force the Hestian Republic to give control of the refueling station Hermes 1 over to the unions.
The miners and refinery workers created worker ownership systems for their respective workplaces, and the Freebooters' Guild established itself as the administrative power over station logistics. Efimia Lambras, who contributed immensely to the unions' victory, opened up a bordello called The Devil's Orchard on the station.
