Embers of the Lost Expedition
Notes:
- Conrad wakes up in an empty camp without a memory of the last day.
- Almost burning down the nearby forest, Conrad meets "The Druid."
- Conrad learns how to control his newfound abilities.
- Conrad begins hunting for clues to his missing team. He gets word his professor was spotted in Greenest, and starts towards the city
- A dwarf drinking at the Thimble Inn informs Conrad that the Eliron was there and mentioned ruins in a chasm, an ancient power, "Belgor, or Belgone," and ruins on the coast. He mentions Silverquill had glowing orange eyes.
- A runed stone door matching the one the rest of the party encountered is found in dragon hatchery. May be the "ruins in the chasm." Conrad's stone seems to interact with it. Conrad gets an rubbing of a journal entry from Eliron. it mentions a Talisman of Belgor.
- the rubbing mentions Fort Morninglord, but it's crossed out, Trielta Hills, and the name Lomis.
- The party reminds Conrad that Lomis was the lich they encountered near Greenest before he met them.
- The symbol of a diamond with a circle inside of bisected by a vertical line is drawn on the rubbing, inside the circle is a moon with a dot next to it and a star on opposite sides of the line.
- Conrad aquires a book about the Amulet of Belgor, but it is written in Abyssal.
- While traveling to Waterdeep, Conrad runs into a merchant with the ability to translate part of the book.
- Conrad runs into Petra Orchard in Waterdeep, and preps the researcher for Conrads next visit. Conrad learns for Petra that a Brynne Stonebridge might be near the expedition sight. Brynne was the expeditions Dwarven Engineer and Tunneler.
Currently Conrad has heard of 2 of the 14 missing expedition members, but has yet to located either of them, and they seem to be all working towards. . .something.
The Professor seeking out anything related to a lich is an issue that needs to be addressed.
Who is Lomis? What is the Amulet of Belgore. Is the crystal stuck in Conrads chest part of the Amulet? How is this connected to a fire elemental, and Conrads powers? What is Brynne doing near the expedition site? Why are their multiple doors and why was one in that cave?
