Gildin

The city of Gildin is found at the north-eastern shores of Rhunaar, with the Rhunaar jungles as its southern border. The city was founded by the ancient human settlers of Rhunaar and functioned as their capital at the time. The city is split in two parts by the Gildar river, which meets the ocean at the city's docks.

Notable Locations

Cathedral of Trinity

The cathedral is found on the southern side of the Gildar river on a small cliff near the coast. Worship in the cathedral is dedicated to the Trinity Mothers of Mara, Dibella and Andraste. See Gildin: Cathedral of Trinity for more information. Warriors of the Trinity Mothers were known as

The Azure Bridge

The bridge that crosses the Gildar river and connects North- and South Gildin. The bridge was initially constructed by human architects of Gildin, but later strengthened by dwarven stoneworkers. It is their craftsmanship that has allowed the bridge to remain resilient against the passing of time. The bridge is characterized by the Berenike Knight statues guarding the bridge.

Grand Archives

In North Gildin on a cliffside slightly lower than the one where the Cathedral of Trinity is situated, the Grand Archives of Gildin are found. A mighty fortified building once stood there, housing both the Archives, scholars and royal family of Gildin. Nowadays, the walls have fallen and most of the palace wings have succumbed to time, but the archives still remain. It is said these archives house a wealth of knowledge for those brave enough to face its guardian "the Librarian". For more information see Gildin: Grand Archives.

Scenery

Most of the city is in ruin, with the city being abandoned by the living now for roughly 700 years. Similar as before though, the city is surrounded by beautiful beaches renowned for the lightning shrimps and Azure Sands.
