Grand Duchy of Montera

The Grand Duchy of Montera stretches from Longfields to the Heartlands while in 1443 the territory of Mulandir was added to the duchy. It is ruled from the farming city of Montera with House Redcliff ruling the Grand Ducy since the fall of the Septim Empire around 1278. Unlike Lucien Telvanni, Boris Redcliff did not declare Montera as a seperate kingdom upon the death of Carolus Angelos, hence remaining a Grand Duchy. The title of Grand Duchess has befallen Katarina Redcliff in 1466 who rules the lands in her father's like: with an iron fist.
The Grand Duchy is organized in feudalism with minor lords paying tribute to the Grand Duchess, while House Redcliff hosts a standing army at Falcon's Keep. Its main sources of income are iron, grain and cattle.
