The Kingdom of Cumbria covers most of the northern peninsula, running from Port Tempus to Pegasus. Though its influence has waned significantly since its heyday, Cumbria remains Mystara's foremost naval power.
Structure
The Prime Minister is responsible for the overall day-to-day running of the Kingdom, but the King or Queen still exerts significant executive and judicial influence; the Prime Minister would never make significant policy changes without the monarch's approval.
Underneath the Prime Minister are the members of cabinet--the Executors--who govern the various spheres of government. For example, the Executor of Arms is is the highest-ranking military officer and has complete authority over the Cumbrian Army and Navy.

History
The Kingdom of Cumbria is what remains of the ancient Cumbrian Empire. Its territories included Bravil, Tanglewood, Kord's Embrace, and Tarant--known today as Ondra's Remorse. Cumbria accepted its unprecedented, shameful loss of Tanglewood as the will of the divine and consolidated power along the northern coastline.
Today, Bravil is Cumbria's only territory.
