Half-elf

To humans, half-elves look like elves, and to elves, they look human. In height, they’re on par with both parents, though they’re neither as slender as elves nor as broad as humans. They range from under 5 feet to about 6 feet tall, and from 100 to 180 pounds. Half-elves can have facial hair, and sometimes grow beards to mask their elven ancestry. Half-elven coloration and features lie somewhere between their human and elf parents, and thus show a variety even more pronounced than that found among either race. They tend to have the eyes of their elven parents.

Gylidder Half-Elves

Children of Gylidd: Over tens of thousands of years of settled history on Gylidd, between the elves of Hynfaol and Zhen Ishraihadasha, those migrating to the island from elsewhere and those simply passing through, there are countless half-elven bloodlines whose parents are descended from all manner of elves and aethrin. This group represents those for whom the past is less of a guide and more of a wide and broad example of potential futures, and no one place in Myzelis has a greater variety of half-elves than Gylidd Syn Aethri City.

Half-dark elves

As any Gylidder half-elf, although this species usually draws heritage from the deep elves of the six cities of Ymora, Serisennur, Ahalyedar, Gulpathia, Ozanika, and Nyth Gylad.

Half-high elves

As any Gylidder half-elf, although this species usually draws heritage from the high elves of Zhen Ishraihadasha.

Half-sea elves

As any Gylidder Half-elf, although this species usually draws heritage from the sea elves of the Inland Sea and the sunken townships of Corsdych and Sudiboda.

Half-wood elves

As any Gylidder half-elf, although this species usually draws heritage from the wood elves of Hynfaol.

Verberan Half-Elves

A New Phenomenon: Half-nevae have only recently started to appear en masse. As communities of Verbera grow more connected with each other and the outside world and bonds of love form, more and more children with nevaen characteristics are conceived. Certain parties view this as more evidence that nevae have fey origins, and that the traits of the fey are not so easily lost to an expanding family tree.
