Murak (mur-AKK) is an ursine creature composed of the darkness between stars, whose journey to Myzelis took them through the far realms from a distant, unknown sky. They hold dominion over justifiable rage and seething revenge, and are a dark secret of Gylidd's traditions regarding the comeuppance of the wicked and the violence necessary to keep one’s loved ones safe. They appear as a softly hissing perfect void outlining the general shape of a colossal, wicked bear, with talons tipped in the ephemera of shattered stars. They are known as the Death Bear, a spirit of rage, pain, and death. Although their name is seldom spoken, those who know of Arseth, the Grand Star and Tzokouda, the Dwarf Star often leave room for Murak between their tokens, as a sign of respect, and recognition for the pain and loss of others that drive them to rational, if violent ends.
As a Hexblade patron, their artifact is the Mangled Nail, a wicked scythe (battleaxe) made of ancient wood and unbreakable bone that transfers one’s own pain through the edge like a conduit.
