Starting high in the Northern Rachis Range, the Tafod River (Gylidder for "the Tongue") is extremely fast and - compared to its width - impressively deep. The river flows north into Tafod Lake and continues north then west until it empties into the Inland Sea at Lyfu Cove. At some points the river’s edge is hidden under rocks that have been beaten down by the swift current. Rockslides happen often enough that the river is full of sharp boulders, making it quite dangerous to travel through. Fortunately, the river is crystal clear. Tafod River is home to many varieties of salt and freshwater fish that attract all sorts of creatures who enjoy fishing.
