The Kingdom of the Emarisa Lands
The Emarisa Lands is one of The Three Kingdoms, leaders of peace among the Good, alongside its sister nations of The Kingdom of the Everlands and The Kingdom of Idol-While. It is mainly inhabited by Fairies, with some Pixie and mixed populations.
Structure
The Emarisa Lands is ruled by a monarchy. The eldest child of the royal family takes the throne when they reach adulthood, if the parents and citizens believe that they are ready for the job. If not, then the parents will continue ruling, or a new leader will be chosen by the people.
History
Though fairy kingdoms have been around since the dawn of time, the Emarisa Lands only became a unified kingdom for around a millennium ago. Since then, the Emarisa Lands, alongside The Everlands and Idol-While, has been one of the leading lands in the fight of Good against the forces of Evil.
Demography and Population
The Emarisa Lands is one of the two primarily fairy kingdoms in Naiko. The population is around 90% Fairies, 5% Fey Pixies, and 5% other species.
Territories
The Emarisa Lands controls a significant portion of the Fairy Plains, stretching from the border with the Troll Mountains on the east, to the coast of The Great Ocean and The Tropical Island on the west. They share a border with The Kingdom of Idol-While on the north, and The Kingdom of the Everlands to the south.
Agriculture & Industry
The Emarisa Lands is a coastal country with a fair climate that is perfect for agriculture. Sheep and goats are raised for their wool and milk respectively, though never for food. Lumber is occasionally harvested but not often and not unnecessarily as fairies have great respect for nature. Crops are the main product of the land, ranging from grains to fruits and vegetables to orchards.
The foothills on the eastern side of the kingdom contain natural caves with metals, minerals, and gemstones; however, harvesting them is sometimes dangerous due to the proximity to the Troll Mountains where the The Allied Troll Kingdom is located.
Trade & Transport
Residents of the Emarisa Lands typically make their living by farming or creating goods that they sell in markets in their local village. Most trading done with outside countries is done with The Kingdom of the Everlands and The Kingdom of Idol-While, as well as The Mermaid Kingdom, The Greater Elven Kingdom, The Pixie Kingdom, The Sprite Kingdom, and The Water Sprite Kingdom. Fairy-made magical items are in great demand in other lands due to the potency of fairy magic.
