The Kingdom of Idol-While

Idol-While is one of The Three Kingdoms, leaders of peace among the Good, alongside its sister nations of The Kingdom of the Everlands and The Kingdom of the Emarisa Lands. It is mainly inhabited by Pixies, with some Fairy and mixed populations.

Structure

Idol-While is ruled by a monarchy. The eldest child of the royal family takes the throne when they reach adulthood, if the parents and citizens believe that they are ready for the job. If not, then the parents will continue ruling, or a new leader will be chosen by the people.

History

Idol-While only became a unified kingdom for around a millennium ago at the same time that The Kingdom of the Everlands and The Kingdom of the Emarisa Lands formed. The Pixies who had aided the Fairies in the war chose to stay and start a new kingdom alongside the Fairies rather than return back to Pixie Point. Since then, Idol-While, alongside The Everlands and The Emarisa Lands, has been one of the leading lands in the fight of Good against the forces of Evil.

Demography and Population

Idol-While is one of the two primarily pixie kingdoms in Naiko, and the land where the majority of Fey Pixies reside. The population is around 90% Fey Pixies, 5% Fairies, and 5% other species.

Territories

Idol-While controls a significant portion of the Fairy Plains, stretching from the border with the Troll Mountains on the east, to the coast of The Great Ocean and Unnamed Island on the west. They share a border with The Kingdom of the Emarisa Lands to the south.

Laws

1. The symbol of Idol-While is the "Crystal Heart". This symbol may not be used for any purpose other than the national symbol. 2. The name "Crystal Heart" refers to the Idol-While national stone, a precious gemstone kept at the Idol-While Museum of History. 3. Idol-While shall keep an up-to-date census of the population, the record of which shall be available to all citizens. 4. Idol-While is a free land, and all who are peaceful may come and go from the kingdom as they wish. 5. The citizens of Idol-While must not ally with the enemies of Idol-While, namely the Trolls and the allies of the Trolls. 6. The rulers of Idol-While shall do their part to preserve the natural wildlife of the land, in part by keeping a palace garden. 7. Idol-While shall preserve the cultural traditions of its people, including ceremonial face paint.

Agriculture & Industry

Idol-While is a coastal country with a fair climate that is perfect for agriculture. Sheep and goats are raised for their wool and milk respectively, though never for food. Lumber is occasionally harvested but not often and not unnecessarily as fairies have great respect for nature. Crops are the main product of the land, ranging from grains to fruits and vegetables to orchards. The foothills on the eastern side of the kingdom contain natural caves with metals, minerals, and gemstones; however, harvesting them is sometimes dangerous due to the proximity to the Troll Mountains where the The Allied Troll Kingdom is located.

Trade & Transport

Residents of the Everlands typically make their living by farming or creating goods that they sell in markets in their local village. Most trading done with outside countries is done with The Kingdom of the Emarisa Lands and The Kingdom of the Emarisa Lands, as well as The Mermaid Kingdom, The Greater Elven Kingdom, The Pixie Kingdom, The Sprite Kingdom, and The Water Sprite Kingdom. Although not as potent as fairy-made magical items, pixie-made magical items are in great demand in other lands due to the interesting effects that pixie magic can have.
